Quiet and Acts of Graciousness
The studio is a place of practicing, teaching, meditation and healing. The beauty and transparency of the design, the use of light, glass and elements of earth, is deliberate. It requires small acts of generosity from all of us. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class and ask the teacher if you need to leave early. The lobby is a quiet, sacred space where we are mindful of our friends practicing inside and the Bodyworkers doing their healing work. Please practice silence or whisper while you wait. Parents, please drop off your children for Kid's classes and spend the hour at the tea shops or taking siblings to the pet store, returning just at the end of class.
Weather Policy
Down Under has a long history of never cancelling class - we stay open come rain or shine and on all holidays! The website always accurate - so even in snow emergencies, check the schedule one hour before class and if your class is listed, it's happening! This includes series classes with Peentz and Teens (Kids usually follow school closings but we'll email you if class is on).
Series & Make-Ups
3 make-up classes are allowed per series (with any teacher in the studio) as long as done before the end of the series. A make up is taking any class outside day/time registered for. Students register for the entire series with payment in full. Please understand there is no sharing series, swapping times and days, or refunds/credits if students can't finish the series. For kids' series only, parents may take an adult class in lieu of the child's make-up.
Reservations
On weekend mornings and for busy classes, you can easily reserve your place by signing up online. If you've pre-registered, cancel at least one hour before class to avoid being charged. Similarly, our workshops usually sell out, so pre-registration with payment in full is advised. Workshop and Bodywork appointment cancellations must be done 24 hours prior to the workshop or appointment to avoid charge and receive a credit to your Down Under account.
